Resumen

Escritos casi simultáneamente (c.1160) por Abraham Ibn Daud, El libro de la tradición y La fe exaltada responden a un propósito común desarrollado, respectivamente, desde una perspectiva historiográfica y filosófica: definir y defender el judaísmo rabínico en la península Ibérica, dentro del marco general de una apologia pro religione judaica. Nuestro objetivo en el presente trabajo es indagar en los rasgos fundamentales de estas dos obras desde la perspectiva del polemismo religioso, mostrando las diferencias entre la versión filosófica e histórica que cada una de ellas, respectivamente, representa.

Doctor en Filosofía y profesor de Historia de la Filosofía Medieval en la Facultad de Filosofía de la Universidad de Murcia (España).
