Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic in Argentina's contact centres, there was a relocation of agents from their usual workplace. They teleworked from home, and companies tried to have their tasks replicate those of the original space. But can the home become the office? On the basis of ongoing research, we will show that atypical teleworking is becoming widespread, with highly controlled work management oriented towards non-professional teleworkers with fixed working hours. These characteristics reorganise the work and domestic spheres, reinforcing gender inequalities by intensifying the physical and psycho-emotional efforts of female agents.
