Importantes representantes del idealismo alemán han conocido
al filósofo irlandés del siglo IX, Juan Escoto Eriúgena, a través de las
historias de la filosofía que circulaban en Alemania durante los siglos XVIII
y XIX. Estas obras historiográficas se convirtieron, entonces, en
importantes canales de trasmisión del pensamiento eriugenieano. Por ello,
en este artículo nos proponemos dar cuenta de la recepción que De
praedestinatione de Eriúgena tuvo en las historias de la filosofía de J.
Brucker, W. Tennemann y T. Rixner para poder evaluar el impacto que el
pensamiento del irlandés pudo tener en el idealismo a través de este
medio.
