El arco y la bestia: soledad, metamorfosis y deshumanización en Filoctetes de Sófocles

Filoctetes de Sófocles es la tragedia de un hombre llevado hasta el límite
de su propia condición humana en medio de un total abandono. En este
artículo pretendo mostrar por qué podemos pensar que el héroe epónimo
de esta tragedia sufre una metamorfosis de acuerdo con la cual deja de
ser, en sentido propio, un ser humano y asume de manera consciente su
propia animalidad. Para ello me centro en el significado que tienen el
arco y su pérdida para el héroe y en las apóstrofes a través de las que
expresa su nueva relación con el entorno natural que lo rodea.
