Abstract

In this paper, we will review the concept of erotism as a cultural construction, and its relations with the possibilities of empowerment by women and our bodies. While the thematic was introduced into the area of academy, it was built as hegemonic speech, being androcentric. We will also analyze the reflections that have taken place in our continent, which link eroticism to poetry, on the one hand, and to the foundational violence of Latin America, on the other, from philosophical and political decolonization perspectives. Finally, we will analyze eroticism from the feminist perspective, which connects pleasure to the sovereignty of the body.
