Abstract

Our study aims to explore the role of leadership in communication dynamics in social organizations. In particular, the work focuses on an analysis of institutional communication in a neighborhood soup kitchen in the city of San Luis. The work investigates the relationship between leadership and institutional project. For the theoretical approach we take the contributions of Ernesto Laclau's theory of populism. The analysis was based on interviews with members of the neighborhood soup kitchen. The main results indicate that leadership is key to understanding institutional logic, since it consolidates a collective identity.
