Abstract

Political Science is a discipline in which a significant gender bias persists, argue Karolina
Gilas and Luz María Cruz Parcero in the book Political Science from a Gender Perspective.
The book can begin reading in any of its 20 chapters; inviting a theoretical reading related
to political practice. The articulating axis of the book revolves around some debates,
questions and state of the art on the contributions of feminist and gender studies that make
visible the existing biases in the discipline. Assuming a non-androcentric reading of
Political Science implies the review of some theoretical and conceptual categories to
rethink and, why not, deconstruct our practices.
