Abstract

I propose to understand the growing manifestations of detachment and indifference towards the functioning of the democratic system present in the national political landscape within the general framework of questioning state interventions, which have become culturally hegemonic in Western capitalist societies and have once again highlighted the structural contradiction between capitalism and democracy. This delegitimization and weakening of state attributions, which has been globally consolidated over the last four decades, find a particular expression in Argentina and must be especially understood in relation to the specificities of its economic and political history.
