Junot Díaz, a Latin American writer?
Keywords:
Junot Díaz, (supra)national literatures, Transnationalism, Globalization, Édouard GlissantAbstract
Junot Díaz"Ÿs texts are characterized by a kind of indeterminacy that challenges many classifications based on geographical, linguistic and cultural parameters, the usual pillars of any (supra)national literature. The aim is to prove that Díaz"Ÿs books question and redraw the map of (supra)national literatures (be it American, Dominican, Latin American literature) in a global world. His writings not only illustrate the idea of a transnational or even postnational literature, where the borders between anglo and hispano are blurred. Even the Glissantian idea of aTout-Monde reverberates in his work.
