Ideas para una semiótica existencial en Maurice Merlau-Ponty

Nuestra tesis es que Merleau-Ponty arraiga el signo en el cuerpo propio y que desarrolla una semiótica existencial, parcialmente explícita, respecto del signo. Su semiótica presupone una filosofía caracterizada por seis claves, comienza con una fenomenología de la percepción, continúa con una del cuerpo percipiente y se consuma en una fenomenología del cuerpo como expresión, basada en el habla hablante. Su semiótica incluye una sintaxis dependiente de la pragmática; una
semántica constituida por significaciones gestuales y una pragmática radicada en una mímica existencial, cuyo horizonte es el mundo. Esta semiótica está limitada por el silencio originario.
