Abstract

This paper is an introduction to the special issue on current contributions to the archaeology of Central western Argentina region and neighboring areas, which brings together contributions discussed during the VII Jornadas Arqueológicas cuyanas (a regional meeting), after a review process by their authors. The meeting was made in the city of Malargüe (Department of Malargüe, Mendoza), at the "Thesaurus" Convention and Exhibition Center, between May 9 and 11, 2018.
