Aesthetics, Beauty, Knowledge, EpistemologyAbstract
Saint Thomas Aquinas's thought on beauty also addresses fundamental aspects related to aesthetic knowledge. His doctrine has been interpreted in various, even contradictory, ways. This article seeks to present all the relevant texts of the work of Saint Thomas on aesthetic knowledge, to consider their contribution and their degree of development. From this material it is possible to distinguish more clearly between what Saint Thomas said and the contributions of his interpreters, as well as to suggest future research routes.
