ORCID identifier
What is ORCID?
ORCID is an independent, non-profit organization that provides a persistent identifier—ORCID iD—that allows you to differentiate yourself from other researchers and is also a mechanism for connecting your research outputs and activities with your iD. ORCID is integrated into many systems used by publishers, investors, institutions, and other research-related services. You can learn more about ORCID at orcid.org.
How and why do we collect ORCID iD?
This journal collects your ORCID iD so that we can [add purpose and distinguish between Member API and Public API]. When you click the "Authorize" button in the ORCID pop-up, we will ask you to share your iD using an authenticated process: either through ORCID iD registration or, if you already have one, by logging into your ORCID account and then granting us permission to obtain your ORCID iD. We do this to ensure you are properly identified and that your ORCID iD is connected securely.
For more information, see What's special about registering?
This journal will collect and display the IDs of authenticated authors and co-authors on the OJS profile and article page.
Where are ORCID iDs displayed?
To acknowledge that you have used your iD and that it has been authenticated, we display the ORCID iD icon next to your name on the article page of your submission and in your public user profile. Learn more at What's special about registering?
