Proceso de evaluación

Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two members of the Editorial Committee and subsequently evaluated by two members of the Scientific-Academic Committee, which includes external members who act as anonymous referees to provide pertinent suggestions.

The result of the evaluation, which will be communicated to the corresponding author through the Editorial Committee, may be: Accepted – Accepted with modifications – Rejected.

A decision of “accepted with modifications” will be accompanied by suggestions for the authors to revise the manuscript for a new review. In the corrected version submitted for the second review, the changes or corrections must be highlighted or shown in a different color, in order to facilitate the reviewers’ control.

In the case of a “rejected” response, reviewers are requested to justify their decision so that the authors may improve the communication of their research in future submissions.

Once accepted for electronic publication, a “proof” version of the manuscript will be sent to the corresponding author as a pre-layout file. After evaluation and approval of this proof, no further modifications will be allowed. Authors must explicitly approve the document. The Editorial Committee also reserves the right to introduce, with the authors’ knowledge, any editorial changes required by grammar rules, the journal’s style, or layout needs.

Accepted manuscripts will be included in the Table of Contents of the next available issue of the journal, subject to availability.
