Abstract

There have been many reviews regarding the possibility of developing the elements of the so-called universal grammar. Those who have recognized the need to set relevant concepts addressing the descriptive analysis of languages, also assume that this work has not yet been reflected into results generally accorded. In this context, the determination of the structures of thought that underlie linguistic expression takes its own place. Since nowadays the issue is attended even from sign languages, it seems appropriate to make an efficient proposal for the analysis, regardless of the code in question. To achieve this, we will start from the Speculative Grammar as historical precedent and critically analyze significant proposals from Hispanic Linguistics.
