Guidelines for ensuring anonymous evaluation
To ensure the integrity of anonymous peer review submissions to this publisher, every effort will be made to prevent authors from learning the identity of reviewers and vice versa. To do so, authors, editors, and reviewers (uploading papers as part of the review) should ensure that the following steps have been taken regarding the text and file properties:
- Authors of the paper have removed their names from the text, and have used "Author" and the year used in references and footnotes, instead of the author's name, the title of the paper, etc.
- For Microsoft Office documents, the author identification should also be removed from the file properties (see File option in Word), by clicking the options below. Start with File from the main menu of the Microsoft application: File > Save As > Tools (or Options on Mac) > Security > Remove personal information from file properties on save > Save.
- For PDF files, you also need to remove author names from the Document Properties, which are located under the File option in the main Adobe Acrobat menu.
