Abstract

María Godoy is a multifaceted artist. In addition to being an actress, theatre director and coordinator of training and research spaces for acting, she has dabbled in dance and singing, and besides art, she studied and practices Chinese medicine. She has built her poetics from the margins, basing her theatre on independent and self-managed work. In this interview, Godoy talks about his modes of creation, recalls the processes of singular works, reviews the director-performer link and gives an account of her position on theatre.
