Abstract

The book Homenaje a Solimán Salom was published by the ISIS publishing house of Istanbul as part of the Cuadernos del Bósforo collection (volume XII), on the occasion of the centenary of his birth (1921-2002), an event that coincided with the 700th anniversary of the death of the Turkish poet Yunus Emre (1238-1328), of whom Salom was a translator into Spanish. The volume gathers the contributions presented during the event held on November 19, 2021 at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where colleagues, students and friends paid tribute to this key figure in the introduction of Turkish language and literature in Spanish academia.
