Abstract

The impossibility of writing childhood during childhood confronts us with a series of theoretical dilemas, specially when we find fictions that make childhood speak, despite those limits. Whether as a figuration, as an irruption, as a story of a beginning or as a laboratory, childhood is constructed as an area (always blurred) that delimits voices, draws borders and enables critical imaginaries. This Dossier explores the questions that childhood demands of fiction in authors and texts of contemporary Spanish literature.
