Abstract

In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gabriela Mistral's poem Desolación, the Institute of Modern Literatures of the National University of Cuyo organized a conference on the centenary. But it also made a call to participate in the event considering other topics. Lines such as diplomacy, educational reform in Mexico, the Mapuche question, love, eroticism, prose and others were intended to promote new entries to the work of the Nobel Prize winner. Two works have been selected for this issue.
