History of the journal

The Revista de Historia Americana y Argentina was founded in 1956 by Dr. Edberto Oscar Acevedo. Originally published annually, the magazine is now published biannually by the Institute of American and Argentine History. It is dedicated to the study of historical problems without thematic limitations and on different socio-geographical scales (from the local to international relations and comparative studies), with the only requirement that the research be within the territorial space of reference and that it be original.
