Open access policy and copyright

The Journal adheres to the Budapest ‘Open Access’ (OA) initiative (BOAI): www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org since 2007.

Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias is a gold Open Access journal. This means that authors pay article processing charges (APCs), but articles are freely available to readers from the academic or private community.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0). This licence allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal, but not used it for commercial purposes.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their publications in any way they prefer, including posting them on their own or their institution's website, immediately after acceptance.

 

Ethics policy

The editorial board of Revista FCA is committed to practising and ensuring ethical behaviour throughout the editing process.

Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias adheres to the ethical principles listed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) .

The journal requires that all parties involved in a publication transparently declares any potential conflicts of interest. Upon submission, authors are required to declare they have no conflicts of interest. In the same line, reviewers are expected to declare they have no conflicts of interests before agreeing to review a manuscript.

 

Plagiarism policy

Revista FCA only publishes original research. Submitted manuscripts must not have been published elsewhere and must not be under consideration for publication by another journal.

Originality and plagiarism are carefully assessed by our Assistant Editors before peer review process of the manuscripts is started.

 

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy

Revista FCA adheres to the ICMJE guidelines on the use of Artificial Intelligence assisted technologies and to the principles listed in the decalogue for the ethical use of AI in scientific and academic journals of CAICYT CONICET published on 16 July 2025.

Only human beings can fulfil the roles of authoring, reviewing and editing scientific articles for this journal. AI cannot replace the responsibilities and accountability of these roles. Authors, reviewers and editors must adopt responsible practices when using AI-assisted tools during the editorial process.

Authorship and funding policies

To ensure compliance with author qualification criteria, as well as transparency, an ‘Author contributions´ section is required, describing the role of each author using the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT taxonomy: https://credit.niso.org/ ). In addition, the authors will be asked to provide their ORCID which provides a persistent digital identifier to distinguish individuals from others with similar names and links individuals to their research outputs.

If a deceased author is listed or if an author passes away while the manuscript is being peer reviewed, it must be indicated using a dagger symbol (†) following the author´s name in the manuscript. The symbol must be followed by a footnote explaining the situation and will be published in the article (i.e. † Deceased, Deceased in December 2010).

Any changes to authorship must be requested before the manuscript is accepted for publication. The corresponding author must submit a letter to the Editor-in-chief asking for adding or removing authors, or changing the author’s order. This letter must explain why these changes are made and state that all authors agree. In addition, it must be signed by all authors.

No changes to authorship will be allowed after a manuscript is accepted for publication.

Articles must include a Funding statement’ providing the names of the funding institutions and their URLs, as well as the grant identification number(s), together with the initials of the authors that received the grant(s).
