Abstract

This text fulfills the function of introducing the Dossier “Literature and other artistic languages: Contemporary manifestations” making a synthetic development of some theoretical problems and questions that circulate in the articles. How to think the relationship between literature and other artistic languages? Can the relations between image and literature produce narratives with their own, interstitial features? The proposal invites to examine different hybrid languages from interdisciplinary approaches, to rethink literature in the attempt to delineate subjectivities marked by complex and dual contemporary views. Dealing with literature and its dialogues or confrontations with the great area of visual languages, the articles in the dossier highlight a good number of links that exist between writing and image, still inexhaustible for literary studies.
