The World Health Organization considers obesity a priority public health issue and recommends addressing it with a focus on the Social Determinants of Health. The objective of this study is to assess whether there is spatial variability in the statistical association between adult obesity prevalence and socioeconomic indicators in Aragón, Spain. The methodological process involved generating a socioeconomic status indicator using Principal Component Analysis. Subsequently, associations between variables were modeled using both global and local regression models. The results reveal the existence of spatially explicit relationships between obesity prevalence and socioeconomic status, highlighting the need to prioritize interventions aimed at managing the disease in specific areas of the region.
