Abstract

Through the analysis of a group of plays performed during the cycle "Teatro, memoria e identidad" (Mendoza, 2013), we propose an approach to the debates on the ways of representing the recent past. The forced absences, the need to communicate painful experiences avoiding social rejections, or the bet on the continuity of vital projects related to unmet goals, are some of the topics that could be found in dialogue, acting, scenography and other esthetic decisions. Furthermore, we consider the practice of theatre as social emergent able to capture sensations, experiences and collective movements involved with the formation of memory about the last repressive dictatorship and its genocide.
