Abstract

This article is centered in the ways of thinking the stories of education that are used in research and in actions of adult education. From an epistemological point of view different ways come up emphasizing a classical one, with a positivist root and others of its own complex approach. In the second case we attempt to narrate a group of situations with diverse connections between them in which there are temporal references that not only constitute a single privileged axis of the narrative but are also intersected with other dimensions. Stories of education and other notions of every way of thinking are conceptualised. What we understand by “stories of education” is a written or oral narration that answers the assigned statements “talk about your own story of education”, “how did your education went by” or “describe your story of education” among others that invite a person, in our case a teacher, to recall their journey and put it into words. The story and the interpretation of various forms with help of empiric data is shown.
