Focus and scope
In its beginnings, the journal Anales de Lingüística placed special emphasis on etymological studies, and later expanded its thematic scope to include works from various linguistic disciplines such as Sociolinguistics, Anthropological Linguistics, Psycholinguistics (especially the processes of understanding and producing texts), Hispanic Philology, Grammar, Discourse Analysis (in particular, academic-scientific discourse), Applied Linguistics and Philosophy of Language, among others.
