Formosa as an Example of Private and State Colonization: An Approach through Spatiality and Landscape

Abstract

The Greek author Herodotus, through his book History II Euterpe, tells us about ancient Egypt and among what he tells us we can find information about the food of the ancient Egyptians. But when relating it to the information we have about this aspect of Egyptian culture, we find some coincidences, as well as differences that must be typical of the time. Therefore, we are going to examine the data that Herodotus gives us regarding what the ancient Egyptians ate and did not eat, raise the differences and similarities with Egyptian reality and analyze this information from the Greek author to understand the vision that was had of ancient Egypt and its food, and how it affected the vision that would later be had about them.
