Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Cuadernos del CILHA consider for their publication unpublished articles, those that will be put under evaluation. Possible works of being including in the following sections of the journal take refuge:

  • Articles: those that must have 20 pages at the most, including bibliographical references and summaries in Spanish and English.
  • Notes: those that must have a maximum of 20 pages. They do not require peer evaluation. They do not have a summary.
  • Interviews: those that does not have to surpass the 10 pages.
  • Reviews: that they must have 4 pages at the most.
 

Submitted articles must adhere to the "Publication Rules". Only those works that comply with said formal requirements will be submitted to peer arbitration.

1. Originals

Authors wishing to submit manuscripts to Cuadernos del CILHA are requested to consider the following formal aspects. Manuscripts neglecting these guidelines will not be assessed for publications.

1.1. Manuscripts written in Spanish should be review/edited by native speakers of this language in case the author(s) is (are) not. Authors should attach one hard copy and one electronic copy for the original. The hard copy will be retained by the journal.

1.2. Author(s) should attach a signed photocopy of Copyright to the original manuscript.

1.3. The journal does not accept works considered for publications elsewhere, nor does it consider simultaneous submissions.

1.4. Should only be given in the Bibliography of work those jobs, articles, books, journals, chapters, web pages, etc. they have been consulted for the preparation of the work. Do not add supplementary or complementary bibliography. Avoid extensive bibliographic listings.

1.5. Manuscripts typed on letter-sized paper; double space; with right, left and top margins of 2 centimetres, font Calibri, size 9. Each manuscript should contain a front page including:

a) Title in Spanish and English.

b) Name of the author(s).

c) His/her specialty, academic address and e-mail address.

d) A 100-250-word summary in both languages.

e) Three to five key words in both languages.

2. Instructions on the manuscript

2.1. Tables, figures, and graphs should be inserted into the text and should be properly numbered.

2.2. All notes should be footnotes.

2.3. Citations and bibliography references:

2.3.1. In-text citations should be signaled in double quotation marks, and long citations (more of three lines of writing), should have all lines block-indented from the left margin. These should have a margin greater than that of the text and a font size smaller than the rest of the text (9 Calibri).

The Dossier aims to cover a representative number of scholars from various centers or universities in the international scientific world on a specific topic.

Articles

They must have 20 pages at the most, including bibliographical references and summaries in Spanish and English.

Reviews

They must have a maximum of 4 pages.

Interviews

They do not have to surpass the 5 pages.

Foro

Forum for the discussion of the most recent results of research on a national and international scale. Rescue the voices of certain prominent personalities in the subject with a previous questionnaire to answer briefly.

Conferencias

Papers by relevant researchers are published in areas of interest to the journal.

Notas

Those that must have a maximum of 20 pages. They are not peer reviewed.

Ficciones

 

Literary texts of Latin American authors with a preliminary study that precedes them.
