Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Original manuscripts are welcome for the following sections of the journal:

  • Articles: must be 20 pages maximum, including bibliographical references and abstracts and keywords in Spanish and English. Peer review is required.
  • Notes: must have a maximum of 20 pages. They do not require peer review. They do not include an abstract.
  • Interviews: should not exceed 10 pages; it is suggested that they contain an introductory text.
  • Reviews: should not exceed 4 pages maximum.

Articles submitted must adhere to the “Guidelines for publication”. Only those papers that comply with these formal requirements will be submitted to double peer review.

  1. Submissions

Articles submitted to Cuadernos del CILHA must meet the following conditions, otherwise they cannot be included in the refereeing process.

1.1. Articles must be written in Spanish and reviewed by native speakers of Spanish if the author is not a native speaker.

Articles or papers must be original and unpublished. The article must not be submitted simultaneously to another arbitration or publication process.

1.3. In the bibliographical references of the paper, only the material (articles, books, journals, chapters, web pages, etc.) that have been cited or referenced in the body of the text should be specified. Do not add supplementary or complementary bibliography. Supplementary material will be removed by the editorial team.

1.4. Contributions to the journal should be written single-spaced, without left indentation, on A4 size paper, with normal margins, in Calibri font size 9 for the text and 8 for the textual citation, notes and bibliographical references. The following should be included:

  1. a) Title of the paper in Spanish and English.
  2. b) Name and surname of author(s).
  3. c) Institution to which it belongs, region or province and country of the institution, e-mail and ORCID number.
  4. d) Abstract (100 to 250 words) and keywords (three to five).
  5. Instructions for the submitted manuscript

2.1. Tables, figures and graphs should be included in the text, duly numbered and with a caption indicating their source.

2.2. Footnotes should be footnotes, with footnotes following the French system.

2.3. Citations and bibliographical references:

2.3.1. Direct quotations included in the text should be marked with double quotation marks and long quotations (more than forty words) should constitute a separate paragraph. These should have a larger left margin than the one used in the text and a smaller font size (8 points).

Dosier

The Dossier aims to cover a representative number of scholars from various centers or universities in the international scientific world on a specific topic.

Articles

They must have 20 pages at the most, including bibliographical references and summaries in Spanish and English.

Reviews

They must have a maximum of 4 pages.

Interviews

They do not have to surpass the 5 pages.

Foro

Forum for the discussion of the most recent results of research on a national and international scale. Rescue the voices of certain prominent personalities in the subject with a previous questionnaire to answer briefly.

Conferencias

Papers by relevant researchers are published in areas of interest to the journal.

Notas

Those that must have a maximum of 20 pages. They are not peer reviewed.

Ficciones

 

Literary texts of Latin American authors with a preliminary study that precedes them.
