Incorporating technology into the 21st-century educational landscape is essential because the majority of university students belong to the centennial group, who are characterized by their skill in using digital technology. Currently, there are countless tools on the Internet that, while not all created for educational purposes, their versatility allows teachers to unleash their imagination to generate techno-pedagogical practices that are engaging and motivating for students. The objective of this paper is to comment on an experience carried out during the teaching of the Communicational English course at the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (National University of San Luis), in which the social network Instagram was used to generate techno-pedagogical practices. This experience is based on the intention of modernizing our teaching practices by leveraging the potential of innovative tools for students and, at the same time, encouraging them to assume a role not only as consumers of the content offered by this social network, but also as prosumers, that is, as content producers.
